le to answer all the hypnotizer’s questions or do we hide stuff that we dont want to tell them if they asked us the same question when we are not hypnotized. Will all our dearest secrects be relieved if someone hypnotizes us. ??
You have to be a person who reacts well to suggestion. Those people make the best subjects for hypnosis. It’s best done by a professional because when you are under hypnosis, the Hypnotist can plant all kinds of things into your head. They can’t make you commit murder if you wouldn’t do it in ordinary life, however. There’s a certain line that the subject will not cross. You also can’t do physically impossible things, like levitate or fly.
You certainly can reveal all your secrets under hypnosis, but most likely you will do that only if you trust the person doing the hypnosis. It is not a magic act, and it has limitations. If you are planning to undergo hypnosis for psychological reasons, I doubt that you will spill your guts. Hypnosis is simply a state of great relaxation — something between being awake and asleep. It isn’t like they’re using truth serum on you. And even that isn’t always reliable, either.
I’ve undergone hypnosis several times, mostly training to do self-hypnosis, and I never spilled my guts. I’ve also had “truth serum” (sodium pentathol) as an anesthetic, and I just said crazy stuff… nothing that made sense.
